카메라타 안티콰 서울 (리더 김지영, 단장 조영호)
2005년 창단한 카메라타 안티콰 서울 (Camerata Antiqua Seoul, CAS)은 "옛것(Antiqua)을 함께 모여 연구하고 연주하는 단체(Camerata)"라는 의미를 담고 있으며, 당대의 악기, 조율, 연주법과 관행을 되살려 연주하여 음악의 역사적 진정성을 추구하는 시대연주(Historically Informed Performance, HIP) 단체입니다.
실내악 편성부터 오케스트라 편성까지, 17세기 초 기악 모음곡에서 18세기 말 초기 고전 심포니에 이르는 폭넓은 레퍼토리를 소화하는 카메라타 안티콰 서울은, 2007년 예술의전당 기획 바로크 오페라 '디도와 아이네아스'를 국내 연주자로는 처음으로 원전 악기로 연주한 이후 예술의전당 여름실내악, LG아트센터 기획연주, 일본 호쿠토피아 국제음악제 초청연주, 금호아트홀, 성남아트센터 마티네, 아트센터인천, KBS FM 공개방송, 롯데 콘서트홀 클래식 레볼루션 등 지금까지 350여 회의 초청·기획 연주를 통해 많은 작품을 한국 초연했고 탁월한 연주로 우리나라 고음악 발전과 레퍼토리 확장에 기여했습니다.
국립합창단, 국립오페라단, 서울시오페라단 및 국내 유수의 시립합창단들과 함께 헨델 ‘메시아’, ‘리날도’, 비발디 ‘오를란도 핀토 파초’, 바흐 B단조 미사, 요한 수난곡, 마태 수난곡, 몬테베르디 ‘성모 마리아의 저녁기도’, 하이든 ‘천지창조’, 모차르트 ‘마술피리’, ‘코시 판 투테’ 등 수많은 작품을 당대 연주법으로 연주하여 우리나라 음악계에 뚜렷한 발자취를 남겼으며, 리처드 이가, 빈프리트 톨, 료 테라카도, 만프레도 크레머 등 세계적인 대가들과 연주와 녹음을 함께 했습니다.
또한 매년 정기연주 '바로크 음악 이야기' 시리즈를 기획하여 비발디 ‘화성의 영감’, 코렐리 합주협주곡 전곡을 연주했으며, 베르사유 궁전의 음악, 영화 속의 바로크음악, 협주곡의 기원부터 모차르트 피아노 협주곡, 보케리니와 하이든 교향곡을 당대 악기로 선보였고, 지금까지 총 20회에 걸쳐 신선한 주제로 고음악 애호가들의 큰 사랑을 받았습니다.
카메라타 안티콰 서울은 명실상부 한국을 대표하는 바로크 음악 전문 연주 단체로서, 옛 음악과 시대연주의 새로운 가치를 찾고 그 감동을 전하는 여정을 이어나갈 것입니다.
Camerata Antiqua Seoul (Leader Kim Ji-young)
Camerata Antiqua Seoul (CAS), founded in 2005, is a group that pursues the historical authenticity of music by reviving the instruments, tuning, performance methods, and practices of the time. It is a historically informed performance (HIP) group that carries the meaning of "a group (Camerata) that gathers together to study and perform the old (Antiqua)."
Camerata Antiqua Seoul, which plays a wide range of repertoires from chamber music to orchestral arrangements, from instrumental suites from the early 17th century to classical symphonies from the late 18th century, has performed many works for the first time in Korea since 2007, when it was the first to perform the original instruments in the Baroque opera 'Dido and Aeneas' planned by the Seoul Arts Center. Since then, it has performed at the Seoul Arts Center Summer Chamber Music, LG Arts Center concert series, Japan Hokutopia International Music Festival, Kumho Art Hall, Seongnam Arts Center Matinee concert, Arts Center Incheon, KBS FM open broadcasts, and Lotte Concert Hall Classic Revolution, and has given Korean premieres of many works through approximately 350 concerts, contributing to the development of Korean early music and expansion of repertoire with its excellent performances.
Together with the Korea National Chorus, Korea National Opera, Seoul metropolitan Opera and leading City Choirs in Korea, Camerata Antiqua Seoul performed numerous works including Handel's 'Messiah' and 'Rinaldo', Vivaldi's 'Orlando Finto Pazzo', Bach's Mass in B minor, Johannes-Passion, and Matthäus-Passion, Monteverdi's 'Vespro della Beata Vergine', Haydn's 'The Creation', and Mozart's 'The Magic Flute' and 'Cosi fan tutte', leaving a distinct mark on the Korean music scene.
They also performed and recorded with world-class masters such as Richard Egarr, Winfried Toll, Ryo Terakado, and Manfredo Kraemer.
In addition, they planned a regular performance series called 'Baroque Music Story' every year, performing all of Vivaldi's 'L'estro Arminico op.3', Corelli's Concerto Grosso op.6, and presented music from the Palace of Versailles, Baroque music in movies, the origin of the concerto, Mozart's piano concerto, and Boccherini and Haydn's symphonies with historical instruments. They have received much love from audiences with their subscription concerts for 20 years so far.
Camerata Antiqua Seoul is a true representative Korean Baroque music performance group, and will continue its journey to find new values in old music and period performances and convey the inspiration.
